Sergey Alferov (1951, Tashkent, USSR - 2004, Moscow, Russia) was a Soviet and Russian artist and participant of the non-conformist movement.
Alferov's art relates to his life in many ways. It seems thrown together, taking many different appearances . On one hand, his pieces look like cracked glass, while on the other they look fiercely and utterly deliberate, with the intense random-like designs of oils and pastels coming together with an oddly rough intent. His artwork is fantasy-like, inviting the viewer to delve into the deeper parts of their consciousness and imagination to be able to understand what Alferov is trying to reveal to them.
